Artist Karen Hanvidge’s ceramics are handmade in Scotland using slab building and traditional coiling techniques. Her inspiration comes from the nature around her, and she loves to emulate the blues and greens of the Scottish lochs and skies.
Karen says –
“I enjoy creating unique pattern surfaces, choosing shapes inspired by Scottish Heritage designs. Often these will include some version of the iconic paisley print. I like to blend a traditional theme, mixing it up with a contemporary twist.”
The shop at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre stocks a wide range of Karen Hanvidge’s ceramics, ranging from £35 to £80.
