Michael Shaw’s sculpture is original, dynamic and fun, and for his next project the artist has created a massive, inflatable sculpture to inhabit 20-21’s gallery. Shaped by the church’s walls, high ceiling and pillars, and animated by cyclical inflation and deflation, this piece becomes a living, breathing object inhabiting the space.
Alongside the installation in the main gallery, Shaw will also present sculptural interventions throughout less-used areas around our St John’s Church, including a gallery trail, allowing visitors themselves to map the intricacies that make up our unique building.
