Information for Artists

Artist opportunities

20-21 Visual Arts Centre hosts a diverse programme of exhibitions across all six exhibition spaces and offers a number of opportunities for regional, national and international artists to exhibit or sell work.

20-21 regularly post opportunities to be included in group exhibitions, apply for commissions or other specific projects on artist opportunities listings sites such as a-n, Arts Council England, CuratorSpaceArtDeadline.com and Axisweb (please note: you may have to subscribe to be able to view opportunities listings on some websites).

Young Creatives Group

Are you 16- 21 years old? Do you like art and being creative? Do you make and design things at home or at college? Would you like to work in a gallery or museum? Then 20-21 Visual Arts Centre needs your help!

To celebrate the creative talent in North Lincolnshire, 20-21 is starting a Young Creatives Group.  The group will work with our exhibitions team to help plan and decide the Centre’s upcoming exhibitions, projects, workshops and activities.

This is an opportunity for young people to meet artists and likeminded creatives. It is also an opportunity to explore careers in a gallery and other cultural venues and to work voluntarily with experienced professionals.

Watch this space for news of the next meeting at 2021 Visual Arts Centre. This will be a 1hr/term time commitment. You can just turn up – no booking needed.

If you would like to know more about the group, please get in touch with laura.higgins@northlincs.gov.uk

Other Artist Opportunities

Artist workshops

20-21 runs artist-led workshops in conjunction with our exhibition programme or aimed at specific audience groups. We also hold a database of artists, which we are able to distribute in response to enquiries about workshop leaders within the region who are experienced in leading creative activity sessions.

If you are an artist experienced in running creative workshops for adults, children, school groups or groups with special needs, there may be occasional opportunities to run sessions within our workshop programme. Please email your contact details, a brief CV and details of your workshop experience to 20-21.epd@northlincs.gov.uk to be placed on our database of workshop artists.

20-21 shop

We encourage artist and craft makers from the UK, Europe and particularly from the counties of Lincolnshire to apply to have work stocked in the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre shop. Please see the 20-21 Shop page for further details of how to have your work considered.
