Our Colour Reflection is an ambitious new installation by Liz West, an artist best-known for her large-scale public art works exploring colour and light.

Using over 700 coloured mirrors, the installation will transform the interior of the Nave gallery space by reflecting natural light onto the ceiling. Visitors will have the opportunity to see themselves, as well as 20-21’s unique architecture, in the mirrored surfaces as they explore the installation. West’s aim is to alter the viewer’s emotional and spiritual experience of the space, hence the title of “Our Colour Perception.”

Now based in Manchester, Liz West studied at The Glasgow School of Art. Previous large-scale works have included Your Colour Perception at Manchester’s Federation House, and her acclaimed installation An Additive Mix at the National Media Museum. She was recently shortlisted for the prestigious Aesthetica Art Prize.

Our Colour Reflection has been made possible by funding from The National Lottery through Arts Council England.
