20 September to 1 November 2025
Delay-a-grams, is a new exhibition of large-scale paintings by Hull based artist Dom Heffer.
The exhibition invites you to look, slowly and carefully, and to reflect upon technology, consciousness, and the interplay between digital and natural worlds.
Dom’s works reference themes like retro computing, cinema and mass production, and often feature humanoid characters he refers to as ‘stooges’, acting out seemingly aimless functions or escaping the confines of the canvas.
Underpinning this, is a fascination with painting as a tool for thought, exploration and play. Some of the works are described as ‘Remixes’; works that were begun, left, and then worked on again, in some cases years later, to create a fusion of different ideas that have evolved slowly.
This is the largest exhibition of his work to date – for further information visit Dom’s Website ideasinthevoid.com or instagram @domheffer
Please note:
This exhibition will be closed due to filming for Arc in Movement on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 October.
