22 to 24 September 2017

Presented in collaboration with Our Big Picture and Lyns Graffiti, this September 20-21 will be filled with stunning large-scale spray can and graffiti artworks by leading artists from the UK and abroad. Created as part of Grimsby’s Urban Art Festival in 2016 and 2017, featured artists include renowned international graffiti artist CanTwo and Portuguese street artist Odieth, who will be showing his innovative 3D artwork from 2016. These will be joined by big UK names including Brave, DimeOne and Girls on Top Crew.

Over the past three years, street artists have been flocking to Grimsby’s Urban Art Festival to produce thrilling new works in and around St James’ Square. This year’s took place in Grimsby on 9 and 10 September, and included graffiti, street art, dance, performance and music. For one week only, these imaginative, spray can creations will be coming to Scunthorpe, running alongside this year’s Insight Open Studios in the gallery.

To celebrate this exciting new show, we’re also holding a family funday on Sunday 24 September. Graffiti artist Lyns Powles will be holding a workshop, plus there will be plenty of graffiti-inspired arts and crafts on our activity table.
