Legendaries is a new exhibition of ceramics, created and curated by adults with disabilities, who have been attending a series of regular workshops at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre during 2021.

They learned a variety of techniques including designing, forming and glazing their own ceramic objects – as well as leaning about ceramics in history, and about how to curate an exhibition. These are shown alongside objects chosen by the group from the collection of North Lincolnshire Museums.

The group chose the name Legendaries for the exhibition, and present life-affirming ceramics, telling stories of family, friends, pets and hobbies.

The group also chose to include ceramics made by staff from 20-21 Visual Arts Centre and North Lincolnshire Museums service who worked alongside them on the project.

Legendaries was created in partnership with Quite Contrary Pottery.
