Susan Douglas is the creator behind Thistledown Wishes jewellery. She creates and designs sterling silver jewellery from her home studio in Edinburgh, using traditional metalsmithing techniques.
Each creation starts life as a sheet of sterling silver or a strip of silver wire.
Susan says,
“I love the process of turning it into a piece of unique jewellery that will not be found anywhere on the high street.
My latest work is inspired by nature and the lichen that I see growing in the woodlands of Scotland where I love going for walks. I’m very fortunate living in Edinburgh as I can easily access hill walking, parks and beautiful coastline.”
The shop at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre stocks a wide range of Thistledown Wishes jewellery, ranging from star and pearl earrings at £16.28 to the labradorite and flower necklace pictured here at £44.40.
